Description
The Papua New Guinea Tairora coffee from Colbran Coffeelands farm, located in the Eastern Highlands region, is a prime example of farm-direct coffee.
This region offers the perfect conditions for coffee cultivation with its mineral-rich soils, excellent weather conditions, and the ideal elevation starting from 1500 meters. At such altitudes, the air is thin, and coffee trees need to exert extra effort to produce a good harvest. The coffee cherries mature more slowly than at lower altitudes, resulting in a more concentrated flavor and aroma that is especially pronounced after roasting.
Papua New Guinea Tairora coffee holds the highest quality grade "A", which allows for no more than 10 defective beans per kilogram.
Due to the incredible diversity of tribal groups and languages in Papua New Guinea, it is challenging for local farmers to organize cooperatives and farms.
